ARRL Field Day 2008

Field day is going to be different for every club. The Mankato Area Radio Club (MARC) treats this event as a family gathering as much as a chance to show off all the aspects of Amateur Radio.

Things to do on Field Day

• Meet new or old friends
• Eat lunch, dinner, or a midnight snack
• Talk on the radio for the first time
• Learn how to put a Ham Radio station together
• Work a new digital mode
• Help hoist up a 4-element multi-band Yagi antenna
• Work the contest operating opportunity

• June 28-29, 2008 — Always The Fourth Full Weekend In June

• We will meet at the Red Cross at 105 Homestead Rd Mankato, MN
• Time line:
  • 8:00 AM Saturday morning, site opens
  • 12:00 Noon Saturday, lunch provided
  • 6:00 PM Saturday evening, Potluck supper, meat and cold (non-adult) beverage provided
  • 12:00 (approx.) Noon Sunday, site clean up and shut down
